Cracknell Tomatoes

Updated: Sep 5, 2018

The Cracknells have been growing tomatoes since 1980, when Sue and Nick Cracknell established their farm on the sunny riverside hills of Granton in the Derwent Valley. Recently joined by the second generation, Matt and his wife Katie, the company has expanded and installed large glasshouse facilities to supply tomatoes around 10 months of the year, ensuring they can meet demand for Woolworths supermarket, their biggest customer.

The vintage-style logo captures the Mediterranean-like climate of the area, as well as the new 'modern rustic' family farmhouse constructed on the 'Pinecroft' property. Reminiscent of the tomato and apple crate labels from last century, the logo features the family property, the sunny hillsides of Granton, and the water of the upper River Derwent.
